This question and answer series features two new Preferred Care Pharmacy staff members every few weeks. This week we introduce Tracy Rogers, staff pharmacist and Arnetta Watson-Wright, fulfillment pharmacy technician!
Tracy Rogers
What is your position/role at Preferred Care? How long have you worked in the field of pharmacy?
I am a staff pharmacist here at Preferred Care. I work with a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure all prescriptions are filled, packaged and delivered to the customer. I am also an immunization pharmacist with our on-site flu clinic program. I have been with the company for four years and I’ve spent a total of 24 years in pharmacy.
What is your favorite thing about working at Preferred Care?
I worked in retail for 21 years prior, so, I have really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and normal work schedule of a long-term care pharmacy. I have also enjoyed learning about senior living and behavioral health. I have established a lot of great relationships and friendships with the customers we serve. I work with a great group of people. We are all passionate about helping others and doing the best job we possibly can.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love spending time with my husband, kids and fur babies. I love going to the beach, floating around in our pool and watching a good movie. I also love to travel, especially by cruise ship.
Arnetta Watson-Wright
What is your position/role at Preferred Care? How long have you worked in the field of pharmacy?
I am a fulfillment pharmacy technician. I work with a team that is responsible for filling medications for all of our customers that use multi-dose and opus packaging. I have been with Preferred Care for seven years and have been a pharmacy technician for 12 years.
What is your favorite thing about working at Preferred Care?
I really enjoy being part of a team that helps take care of the residents in long-term care facilities. They count on us to provide their medication accurately and timely. I am so happy knowing that what I do every day makes a difference in our community. I work with a great group of people and we all share a common goal of helping others.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am very active and involved with my church, A.M.E. Church, on Edisto Island, S.C. I spend a lot of time helping seniors in my community. I also love to spend time with my wonderful grandchildren.
